This is My Story

John J. Sherman grew up as a sports fanatic with the dream of being great at whatever sport he participated. After college, John took on a career in Law Enforcement with the Harris County Sheriff’s Department as a Deputy Sheriff/ Boot Camp Drill Instructor. In 1992, while working a full time job, John won the light heavy weight, Most symmetrical and overall title at the Men’s National Bodybuilding Championships in Atlanta, Georgia, becoming one of the youngest competitors to earn a pro card at the prestigious event.

During the course of his professional career, John also took on the promotional aspect of the sport by promoting The John Sherman Classic.   At the same time he began judging NPC Texas shows, and running his own personal training business. With his almost 30 years of experience and vast knowledge in the fitness industry, his clients range from professional athletes, senior citizens, fitness enthusiast, as well as kids of all ages
